A few months ago, Wiisdom Ekwere dropped a poster in my DM about a writing competition organized by Literal Guide Publishers. I remember not being so sure about registering because I received the information late, but he encouraged me to try it out anyway. On the 4th of March, I reached out to the organizers of the contest, and completed registration on the 7th, together with Inimfon Udoh, who I told about the contest when I met him. Fast forward to two months later; I submitted the first draft of my manuscript. It had taken a month to get it ready, and I was proud of myself for putting something together. I cannot remember a time I didn't love reading stories. From the moment my puny fists grabbed a book for the first time, I was hooked. I have come to a point where I feed on books. I cannot stay a month without at least having something fun to read. Did I say a month? I'd get really disturbed if I don't see something interesting to read within 24 hours! Therefore, it was kind of inevitable for my brain to give out what I fed to it. Hence, my writing began. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I cannot recount the amount of shredded notes containing cringe worthy stories I wrote in my scrawny handwriting as a kid. Well, here I am, years later, with a published full length novel.
