Meet Loyallove Nightfall 😊


Hello everyone . I noticed I have new friends and followers, so I would like to reintroduce myself so you could get to know me better.

My name is Imamfonido Okon, but I go by the penname Loyallove Nightfall. Why the penname? Easy, it's not that much of a deviation from my name, just a refined translation. Besides, my native name might be a little difficult to pronounce for non - indigenes.

Speaking of indigenes, I am a native of Akwa Ibom State. I speak, read and write three languages - Ibibio/Efik, English and Pidgin West Africa.

I attended Bright Stars Model Secondary School, where my creative writing career began. A teacher discovered my talent and singled me out for coaching. So I simply developed myself that way.

I'm am extroverted extrovert, as I like referring to my personality. I am also very sentimental. An organization freak, I am a stickler for time.

I love junk food. That, and well written novels? Blow my mind! If you ever think about locking me up, try to put the novels on the shelf and the food in the refrigerator. I really wouldn't hold the house arrest against you.

Hobbies, besides reading, writing and watching movies? Er... I enjoy destroying people's eardrums in the name of singing, I love karaoke! 

I am a creative writer with an amazing imagination. At least that's what is in my description. That isn't far from the truth though.

This list about myself is subject to update. A few weeks ago, I felt I knew absolutely nothing about myself. I had to go think (and do a little research, imagine that!).

New Book!

A few months ago, Wiisdom Ekwere dropped a poster in my DM about a writing competition organized by Literal Guide Publishers. I remember not being so sure about registering because I received the information late, but he encouraged me to try it out anyway. On the 4th of March, I reached out to the organizers of the contest, and completed registration on the 7th, together with Inimfon Udoh, who I told about the contest when I met him. Fast forward to two months later; I submitted the first draft of my manuscript. It had taken a month to get it ready, and I was proud of myself for putting something together. I cannot remember a time I didn't love reading stories. From the moment my puny fists grabbed a book for the first time, I was hooked. I have come to a point where I feed on books.  I cannot stay a month without at least having something fun to read. Did I say a month? I'd get really disturbed if I don't see something interesting to read within 24 hours!  Therefore, it was kind of inevitable for my brain to give out what I fed to it. Hence, my writing began. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I cannot recount the amount of shredded notes containing cringe worthy stories I wrote in my scrawny handwriting as a kid.
